A workshop titled “Workshop on Implementing Complex Engineering Problems and Activities” was successfully held on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, with the active participation of faculty members from the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE).

The keynote session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering. In his session, he demonstrated effective approaches for identifying whether academic problems meet the criteria of complex engineering problems. The discussion was highly informative and aligned with the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), offering practical insights for faculty members.

The workshop also featured an engaging question-and-answer session, providing participants with an opportunity to raise queries and exchange academic perspectives in a collaborative environment.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering, emphasized the importance of incorporating complex engineering problems into teaching and learning practices. He highlighted that such integration is essential for enhancing students’ analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The workshop concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Mohammed Nazmus Shakib, Additional Director, IQAC, who expressed his sincere appreciation to all participants for their active engagement and valuable contributions.
