Green University Annual SDGs Report 2024

Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) continues its strong commitment in 2024 to advancing sustainability and contributing meaningfully to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a leading institution of higher education, GUB integrates the principles of quality, innovation, and social responsibility into every aspect of its academic and community activities. This year, the university places special emphasis on SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through impactful programs, community outreach, and interdisciplinary research, GUB continues to foster solutions that address social, economic, and environmental challenges both locally and globally. Our initiatives extend beyond academic learning to include hands-on projects, innovation-driven research, and collaborative workshops and seminars that empower students and faculty to engage directly with sustainability challenges. By building strong partnerships with government agencies, international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector, GUB acts as a catalyst for knowledge exchange and transformative action. In 2024, the university reaffirms its vision of shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and peaceful future—one where education, equality, and innovation work hand in hand to create lasting impact for society and the planet.
